Delicious food and lovely staff
We had a delicious meal here. Lovely atmosphere. We had about 6 dishes, all tasted and looked amazing. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be returning

Always excellent!
We have quite a few local Indian restaurants, but Haweli can’t be beaten for consistently excellent food and great value. We couldn’t wait for it to reopen after lockdown and have been back three times already. The service is excellent and the restaurant is comfortable and stylish. We’ve lived nearby for 20 years and I don’t think we have ever had a disappointing meal.

Fresh, tasty and an all-round excellent dinner on a Saturday evening. Great staff who gave us some brilliant recommendations from the menu. Perfect if you’re looking for quality Indian food (and at a great price.)

Haweli is by far the best Indian I have ever had in my life! We came in and let them take care of us, the servers recommended some amazing dishes and I wish we could have some every day!
If you want to check out a restaurant that not only has perfect food but also wonderful service where you really feel welcome, come to Haweli and get some delicious food.

Delicious Indian Food
Have been dining at Haweli Hammersmith (actually Chiswick High Street) for a number of years on visits to London. Have had many of the dishes on offer…always delicious. I have an Indian background and they will cook special Bengali-style dishes on request.
Shane R

Its an Indian Cuisine Restaurant where you can enjoy Indian food… I never go but i think that food will be fine as its Named Like Haweli. Its located on King Street on Chiswick road…

Excellent food and service
Easily the best Indian in Hammersmith if not West London. Good food, especially the fish and vegetarian dishes.

Couldn’t have asked for better service or food! dined on a weds evening, it was quite quiet but a few other tables in. the staff were so attentive, the dishes they recommended (balti chicken and lemon/cashew rice) were AMAZING. they made two dishes especially for us (paneer tikka masala and a more creamy balti chicken) with pleasure – both of which were amazing. offered to take our picture without asking, such sweet guys in there. and the house wine is decent and less than £14 a bottle! couldn’t ask for more, will definitely be back.

Amazing Curry
I have been living in the area for 7 years and regularly go to Haweli’s when I fancy a curry. A friend and I popped in last night and the service and curry was top notch as always. After asking the waiter for recommendations, we both agreed the tandoori Lamb Madras was the best Lamb curry we had ever had! Haweli will continue to get my business when I need a curry fix!
Harvey Dixon

Fantastic Indian, this intimate local restaurant is great, clean and modern with exceptional service. Most importantly the food is wonder, fresh and the portions are generous, my favorite is the Chicken Shashlik and the and the Saag Paneer – absolutely delicious. The house wine is also very drinkable and well-priced. I would highly recommend.

Great evening
We arrived for a spontaneous evening. I had a sashlik and my friend the lamb sagwala. Both were very tasty. Service was quick and friendly. We will definitely return.
Dave

Try the Goan chicken — it’s a new personal favourite. We headed straight to Haweli when it reopened after lockdown. In a neighbourhood with several good Indian restaurants, Haweli can’t be beaten. It’s good value with delicious food served in a comfortable, modern setting. Excellent service — always!

Awesome, no other word for it
I don’t normally write reviews but down in Chiswick on business and went looking for a pub, found a couple but didn’t appeal. Then stumbled across this place, just brilliant. Great food, great service, friendly. Next time I’m down here I’ll be eating here again.

Back on top form
Haweli has been a staple of the Stamford Brook Triangle for decades, and it’s back on sparkling form. Great, friendly service from a team who know how to look after regulars and new customers alike. And the food is great. Recommend the tandoori mixed grill in particular.
gjuk99

The best Indian food I have ever had!!! We eat here every time and often when we are in London. The staff is so friendly and welcoming and always recommends wonderful new dishes for us to try. Our favorites are the lemon rice so light and fluffy with just the right hint of lemon, the Tandoori chicken with just the right amount of heat, and the vegetable Dansak, words can not describe how good this is. I only wished we lived closer so we could eat here more often!!

Amazing Food
My dad and god father love this Indian restaurant and this is my third visit. We had a fantastic dinner on 19th December. The food was amazing, really great. Well done Haweli!
Rupert Meats

The service is outstanding!
The food truly delicious e.g. onion bajis perfectly cooked. Crispy outside and soft inside. Accompanying dipping sauce perfect! A side dish of pumpkin cooked in a delicious sesame flavoured sauce. Extremely clean including crisp ironed line napkins. Bengali chefs with over thirty years experience.

Best in W6
Myself and my friends have been coming to Haweli for years and are rarely disappointed. It is consistently the best, and most reasonably priced, Indian restaurant in the area. It has a great choice for meat-eaters and vegetarians alike, and the service is always friendly. We have, of course, tried others but we always return to Haweli because it’s so dependably good. Our favourite!
The Duke of Pork

Best Indian restaurant in the area. Went as a know nothing and asked for a blind recommendation from the staff based on my expectations. Got a very good lamb curry accompanied with an a anusual cashew rice. Strong, bold and not too spicy curry, I’m a milder. Really recommend, even for non curry specialists like me. Wil definitely come back for different flavours. And for a special dinner go for a better wine than the house one.

It’s great
The food here is really good. Not over-engineered but just very good quality Indian cooking. This is a pleasant and relaxing place. And the people who run it are so nice; what a bonus. So, highly recommended.

Found this place just walking on King Street, strongly suggested! Prices are really good (me and my mate have eaten for 30 pounds: 2 biryani, 3 portions of bread and a beer). The atmosphere is good and the service outstanding. The waiters make sure you’ll enjoy your meal, and my friend was committing the mistake of ordering a portion of rice without knowing biryani contains rice too, and the waiter came back to him letting him know about this, instead of bringing it and add it to the bill, really appreciated! Would definitely suggest this place!

I have been a customer at Haweli for many years and regard the staff as one would members of the family. The food is excellent, the atmosphere relaxed and friendly, and I would recommend it for sharing with friends, family or a first date. Give it a try. You’ll be glad you did.

Always a delight to eat at Haweli!
We have been eating at Haweli for more years than we can remember. The team are always very welcoming and prepare the dishes just how we like them. A particular favourite is the Tandoor Garlic Chilli Chicken!
The Travelling MJs

Meals freshly cooked, vegetables in currys are not overcooked, modern indian cuisine, fresh meat cooked to perfection, stuff very professional. Worth to eat there 🙂

So good to be back. Haweli was closed for lockdown but if anything it’s better now than before. The team are so friendly and the food is so good I’m on visit number 3 in the last two weeks…
Greg Jackson

Amazing food and friendly staff
Despite Chiswick having loads of good restaurants, we eat at Haweli pretty much every week. Best dishes: The king prawn puri, meat samosas, veg madras, fish dopiaza and lamb rogan josh. We have brought so many friends here and all are stunned by how good the food is. Haweli use olive oil rather than ghee so it feels healthy too. Not all dishes are great but once you have mastered the menu, there is nowhere better!

Amazing food and friendly staff
My housemate and I visited the restaurant fairly late on a Friday after a long hard week in the office. Greeted by a friendly member of staff (from reading other reviews potentially the owner) who offered a warm welcome and a booth to sit swiftly. Not long after we were offered drinks, and given time to address the menu. The food was superb, I had a lamb jalfrezi, with sagaloo and mushroom rice. The food was fantastic and beautifully flavoursome. The naan was freshly cooked and crispy. Highly rate the good service, good food and reasonable pricing. Will be visiting again.

good Indian tucker
Always get a warm welcome from the host, and his staff. Let them lead you onto the best meal choices and you’ll enjoy this local landmark, usually after a bevvy at the cross keys.

Great quality food — consistently the best Indian takeaway I’ve had in the area. A bit on the pricey side though.
Ian Henry

My family and I been coming to enjoy Barry’s curries for more that ten years now, and they never fail to make us happy. Thanks Haweli!

Great food and excellent service
The food at Haweli is extremely good; there is a wide choice and portion sizes are generous. The staff are very friendly and efficient, especially the manager, who is delightful. They quite often do a buffet lunch on Sundays, which is well worth a visit.

My curry house of choice
My friends and I have been attending Haweli’s for years. We were initially tempted in by the magnificent smells wafting outside the restaurant. The food has never been disappointing. I cannot think of a better curry house in Britain in this price range. The meat is always tender, the food is served promptly. Chef is willing to customize your curry on request. My main curry of choice is the Vindaloo with extra green chilies. The vegetarian stuff is also excellent. I Cannot recommend the Baigon Masaladar more highly. Baby Aubergines cooked in the most exquisite sauce imaginable.
I always finish the meal with a Masala Chai.
Parking on the local streets is free after 1700.
Only grudge is that prices have gone up recently and what used to cost us £38 now costs us £50 (service and booze included).

This place has it all! Friendly staff who remember their regulars; Delicious food; Prompt service; Consistent quality; What more can you ask for?!

Do not underestimate this restaurant
From the outside, this looks like any random Indian place in West London. But it is special in many ways. The vegetarian dishes in particular are truly spectacular. The buffet is also very much recommendable. What makes the place remarkable is also the specific family feel it has. When you enter, you are being greeted as if the lost child came home after years abroad. To summarize, they simply do many things right.

Lovely food and very enjoyable experience
Though London is reputed to have radically superior Indian restaurants to those in New York City, we have not found that to be true; they were pretty much at the same level. Maybe we have to go up north. Haweli does stand out as the best of the Indian restaurants we tried this month on our week in England. Very fresh food, distinct flavors, appealing presentation and very nice wait staff and owner. Thanks to our Chiswick host for steering us here!

Excellent food and extremely courteous and attentive service. Mystified by the review that is critical.

Delicious food and a great value
I visited friends in Hammersmith, West London, on Sunday the 17th of May and they suggested we get takeaway from Halewi Indian Cuisine. (TripAdvisor: Please correct the restaurant’s name to ‘cuisine’ from its current ‘cousine’!) I loved the food. We had quite an assortment of dishes, which we shared, and I can’t recall the names except for the Lamb Sagwala, which was divine. Overall it was a very tasty and filling meal, and the food was hot and fresh. And what a good deal! I was stunned at how inexpensive it was for the quality.
Next time I visit London I’ll make a point to dine in the restaurant.

Curry aficionado says "yes"
Man, some people don’t know what to look for. If you’re into succulent chicken and lamb, unparalleled house specials and a proprietor who looks after the customers, this is the place for you. I’m lucky enough to live in the midst of dozens of restaurants and this is an absolute staple. Great place with the kids, my partner or the inlaws.

Staff are great and delivery service is always quick with food quality
Best curry house in London. We treat ourselves regularly to a take away and are never disappointed. Staff are great and delivery service is always quick with food quality never compromised. It’s always difficult to find a good Indian, if you live in hammersmith/chiswick area look no further.

Staff are great and delivery service is always quick with food quality
After a week working in London, we sometimes treat ourselves to Hawali’s food on the way down to our weekend retreat. We daren’t visit too often; we’d both explode because the food is irresistable. This is the Bengali version of “Indian” food done well. It tastes great. It’s nicely presented by efficient staff carefully watched by the proprietor. This is a small restaurant so when it’s busy, it feels crowded but since everyone is clearly enjoying it all as much as us, it’s no hardship. They offer a take-away service.

A good value and friendly local restaurant
Haweli is our friendly local. The proprietor, Barry, is usually on hand to greet guests, often by name, and ensure the usual high standard. Tables have white table clothes and there is no noise or clatter making conversation difficult. The nans are to die for. My normal fix here is lamb sagwalla, pumpkin and a nan, washed down with a pint or two of draft beer. this usually works out at about £20 per head. The combination of good food quality, reliable and competent service, pleasant decor and environment, low prices, and the buzz of happy regulars, makes this restaurant a real winner. On quiet evenings, when other nearby restaurants are almost empty, Haweli usually has plenty of life.

Great food and great service. Love that the staff take time to tell you more about each dish and give you recommendations, without pushing you outside of your comfort zone! Always a relaxed and fun time coming here. Best dishes I’ve tried: Lemon Rice, Naga Chicken Curry, Chicken Tikka Masala. Going to try the paneer options more soon!

Excellent
We had dinner at Haweli Hammersmith on 29.09.21. The service was perfect – we were made to feel welcome, not rushed but not slow, we were given help in deciding our menu choice. The restaurant is clean, minimalist and comfortable. We ordered the Chef’s special and a Chicken Shashlic (and rice and Sag Aloo). The food was absolutely delicious. It had obviously been cooked to order as it was fresh in smell and appearance and hot (rather than something that had been made some time earlier and left to keep warm). We used to live near to the Haweli Hammersmith but moved to Devon over 6 years ago, it was a delight to return this week. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Good Indian curry. Loved the Goan chicken and the Fish curry we had. Good sized portions. Staff were very friendly and service was quick. Will go back again.

Best Indian restaurant in ealing HAWALI
Experience the elegance and royalty like a “hawali ” in London’s West Ealing. We are an authentic Indian restaurant, where food is prepared by our professional chefs, who have been delivering top quality food and serving food lovers with passion for years! Our delicious and exquisite dishes explore the great variety of traditional and regional foods of India.’ Mr syed is really gentlemen who gave service for their customers with honest smile I recommended enough.

Very welcoming staff, always a good sign. Traditional Bangladeshi style curries done to perfection. Wish i knew how to cook Goan chicken like that! A dish to remember. Very well priced for this area. A gem.

Delightful Indian food. Tried some new dishes and enjoyed them very much. Surprised the restaurant was so empty but we were early for the dinner hours. Large portions, lots of choices.

We had a delicious meal for a group of 4 here! There was a lovely variety of dishes all spiced very well including lots of vegetarian options. The portion sizes were generous and the staff were enthusiastic, polite and knowledgeable. We look forward to coming back again soon.

Long time favourite
I have eaten the food at this restaurant for 25 years there are 6 Indian restaurants within a10 min walk from where I live this is the best the others are good but I always return to Haweli.

We attended Haweli for a work Christmas meal in mid December 2019, We were a party of 14 however the restaurant was incredibly accommodating. Decor and atmosphere is relaxed and understated, the vibe is nice, and the staff are very friendly and very attentive. Quickly bringing over large crisp popadoms with an assortment of varied condiments and dips. I always think a restaurant with good condiments/dips means you are in for a good time! The orders were promptly taken, drinks re-orders were regularly taken The food was prepared in good time, although enough time was allowed for people to enjoy the evening and allow courses to settle.. food preparation and presentation is towards the mid-fine dining. very much prefer restaurants who don’t over service portions. curry are rich enough without giving too much food for waste. juicy meat, flavoursome sauces, and zingy spice. we very much enjoyed the evening, and will surely return again in the near future. a number of the party commented that this was possibly one of the better Indian restaurants they have attended too in West London. Thankyou to everyone at Haweli for a great evening 🙂

EXCELLENT SERVICE
This restaurant is our family favourite as we dine here often and is a regular Friday takeaway whenever we crave for an Indian meal. The food is always very delicious and enough for it’s price. The staff team are ever so lovely and make sure we have everything we needed (they even cheered my son up who was feeling grumpy). We would really like to thank Faizal and his team for an excellent service and we would definitely visit this restaurant again.

Returning here after many long months we were met with a very warm welcome by Faisal. He is a wonderful representative for this restaurant. All the staff are good but I must single out Faisal for especial praise. He knows his clientele and is very patient and knowledgeable when advising customers about the excellent menu. The quality of the food is matched by the quality of the service. I can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and should you go, ask for Faisal’s advice. You won’t be disappointed.

Return visit after a short break
Our visit yesterday was well overdue after not being here for a couple of months. However, this restaurant continually offers excellent choice of menu, well presented and outstanding customer service. Nothing is too much trouble and in particular I would like to mention,Faisal, who always makes our visit such a great experience. Friendly, warm and so knowledgeable. His customer service skills are exemplary with a real passion and naturalness for talking to people. You really should visit to experience it for yourselves!

Delicious North Indian Cuisine in Hammersmith
I just had a most enjoyable meal at Haweli. The food was delicately flavoured and medium spicy as we had asked for; very subtle, fresh, clean and totally delicious. I was impressed by the menu with wide and interesting choices of meat and fish dishes and also a rich choice of vegetarian specialities which some of us favoured. We were also given a very courteous and attentive service. The decor of this restaurant is stylish and contemporary.

I have been going to Haweli for many, many years and as a great local Indian it is one of the best in this part of London. Fully recommend everything that is offered, the service is first-class and the waiters excellent. Beware the owner as he can talk for England and India!!!!

Great Asian Cuisine - Look No Further
My brother introduced me to Haweli some years ago and it has been my favourite restaurant for a very long time. The staff are now family friends and the food is exceptional: if I may say so, a cut above what you would find in the average Asian restaurant. The added bonus is the price, which is more than reasonable and excellent value no matter if it is for one, a couple, or a large group.. My advice, should be looking for an excellent food, served by friendly staff, in a warm and cosy environment, and you happen to be in the Hammersmith/Chiswick district of London is you won’t find better than Haweli.

Me and my friend Simon went to Haweli on 31/7/20. The restaurant is back to normal hours now. The staff are very friendly and the food is 5 ☆ quality. And the prices are very reasonable much cheaper than Indian Zing. Would highly recommend a visit to this restaurant …

Upscale and excellent indian food
Restaurant is rather small (and we were a large party!), but the food is just excellent. We managed to try a bit of everything and all dishes were excellent, well presented and the service was quick and efficient.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will come back whenever I have the occasion. It is located at a 15 minutes walk from Hammersmith Broadway center, and it makes a nice digestive walk back to Hammersmith 🙂

The tandoori chicken and the lamb shashlik were very fresh and quite delicious and the lemon rice was perfect as were the accompanying saag paneer and peshwari naan. A high recommendation.

Amazing food
Was staying with friends for the weekend so went here for dinner. Didn’t booked but they managed to sort us a table even though the restaurant was very busy. The food came out piping hot and was delicious, we all enjoyed our meals. Had Goa Chicken which I have never seen before on a menu which was so nice, will start looking out for this at other restaurants. Quick service and friendly staff Would return if in the area again.

Every Neighbourhood should have an excellent local Indian..it's our right ! 🙂
Been eating here since it opened in the early 80’s ( let’s not go there …:-) – Indian ( ok British Indian ) comfort food – all you have to do is look around at the other tables – everyone is having a good time ! Superb staff has always been their signature and their Goan fish curry for us is their signature. For eating in or takeout pretty well unbeatable in the area/neighbourhood.

Deservedly great reviews
I am not a massive curry afficionado but most of my friends are and they deservedly rave about this well known Hammersmith/Chiswick curry house. Even I really like the food here and the room is nice too, not a curry dive in any sense at all.

Amazing place for a nice Indian dinner !!! Friendly staff, peaceful ambience and amazing food !!!

Smart restaurant, great food, excellent value
This place gets better every time I visit. The place is smart, but not off-putting, and the welcome always genuine and friendly. There were 4 of us, hungry aficionados of Indian cuisine (BTW, change the TripAdvisor heading into CUISINE), and we almost needed another table to put everything on. All was polished off and the bill was very acceptable, especially as we had a few bottles of wine and beers as well. Top place!

Excellent food, great price, good service
This is quite possibly the best curry house in the world. I always try and visit when I’m in London. So may Indian restaurants attempt with disappointing results the dishes that Haweli have perfected. They offer a range of excellent food (all the classics) and the service and restaurant décor is excellent. Eat in or take away, you won’t be disappointed. The only way they could improve is by offering delivery to Edinburgh!

My favourite Indian restaurant

Always a Good Experience
I eat at this restaurant regularly. It took me a while to decide to give it a try but once I had my first meal there, it charmed me. The food is good quality and well priced. There is a wide range of meat dishes (some usual suspects but also some dishes you rarely find anywhere else) and a very unusually long list of vegetarian dishes, including pumpkin, which I haven’t found in any other Indian restaurant. The atmosphere is that of a local restaurant – the service is perfect: the waiters are always there when you need them and they are professionals. The owner is usually in the restaurant and he is also an expert at knowing what tone to adopt with everyone. There are many locals who, like us, keep coming back for more. If you fancy a good Indian meal, this is the place to come to. At worst, the food is good. At best, you leave feeling completely satisfied that you have been treated and fed well. I particularly recommend the pumpkin, the lemon rice and the lamb sagwala.

A good value and friendly local restaurant
I’m a bit partial to a nice lamb madras and mushroom rice, and I haven’t found a better chef in London yet. My days of going to Brick Lane are now over! Upon arrival, the owner has the perfect balance between making you feel especially welcome, and respecting your privacy to consider the menu and enjoy your evening. The waiting staff are all very efficient and I often heard them making suggestions and possible combinations. I don’t know who the chef is, but every time a new dish comes out of the kitchen I get a whif of that smell and sizzle and have to stop myself ordering another dish just to try it out. That’s not something I’ve done in any other restaurant!! I have taken a few friends there over the years, and visited numerous other Indian restaurants in and around London, and we all agree – this food is by far the best! We have now taken to trying other nationality restaurants around London and leave our curry nights for Haweli. The only other observation is the decor, while fresh, could been seen as a bit “functional”. The restaurant has big glass windows on two aspects and the seating is open plan, but I’d personally have the great food and hospitality over a private booth any day!
